About Noral
Noral GmbH is a provider of LED luminaires, intelligent luminaires and light poles for street, city, industrial, tunnel and airport lighting. The company was founded in 1948 by Knut Eng in Orje (Norway) and has operated under the Noral brand since 1981; since May 2022 the headquarters has been located in Hamburg. In its own production, the company manufactures die-cast aluminium housing parts on five machines with 420 to 1250 t of clamping force (total capacity 3650 t), processes sheet-metal housings and reflectors through punching, bending and shearing on eccentric, hydraulic and laminating presses, and welds components with 6-axis welding robots. In addition, the production facilities include blasting systems, powder coating to Marine Qualicoat, robot-assisted foam sealing with silicone or polyurethane, and an SMD production line for LED modules of the Cem brand according to ENEC. Photometric and electrical testing is carried out in a UL-accredited laboratory. City lighting projects have been implemented, among others, in Malmö, Stockholm and Tenerife; the brand is registered in 30 countries.
