About nullpunkt
nullpunkt AG is a Swiss cleantech company based in Oberengstringen ZH that develops, assembles and distributes the Triton ice-storage heat pump system through certified installation partners. The system uses the latent heat of water: an outdoor heat exchanger collects heat from the ambient air, an ice storage tank (800 or 1000 liters) stores it, and the brine-to-water heat pump extracts energy from the tank, with additional heat released during freezing. Triton requires no ground probe drilling, operates particularly quietly at night (approx. 35 dB(A)) and is suitable for single-family homes in new builds and renovations with up to 12 kW heating demand. The components are final-assembled in Switzerland, using predominantly European parts and materials; the housing of the outdoor heat exchanger is made of powder-coated aluminium. The company, founded in 2025 by three mechanical engineers, operates its own climate laboratory in which weather simulations down to -15 °C and 90 % humidity can be tested.

Materials & Processes
Aluminium (powder-coated)
Housing of the outdoor heat exchanger, alternatively in wood look or individual design.
Water/ice (latent heat storage)
Storage medium in the ice storage tank; when freezing, latent heat is released at 0 °C.
Brine (heat carrier)
Connects outdoor heat exchanger, ice storage tank and heat pump in the source circuit.
