About OPNATIX / OMEGACAP

OPNATIX GmbH, based in Oppenweiler, develops and distributes a patented cable pulling cap under the OMEGACAP brand, with which push-resistant cables and individual wires can be pushed through empty conduit pipes without a conventional pulling aid. According to the manufacturer, the system allows a single installer to lay the cable and saves up to 90 % time compared to conventional pulling aids over distances of more than 10 metres. The cap, with its patented multi-stage conical inner contour, fits different cable diameters, is reusable, and is available in four models for NYM wires, LAN CAT 7, coaxial and solar cables. Production is 100 % in Germany, manufactured by injection moulding; the first prototype was created with a 3D printer. The product originated from electrical installation during the construction of a private home, was patented, and was awarded the Artur Fischer Inventor Prize of Baden-Württemberg. It is distributed via Amazon marketplaces in several European countries, the German specialist distributor ipro, and exclusively via Plica AG in Switzerland.

Manufacturing & Materials

3D-Druck

3D printing (prototyping)

The first prototype of the cable pulling cap was produced on a 3D printer and tested on the construction site.

Spritzguss

Injection moulding

The series of the cap with undercuts is manufactured by injection moulding without slider technology, true to an open tool design.

Kunststoff

Plastic (unspecified)

The plastic is tuned to balance glide properties and holding force across different cable types.
