About Benz Optik
Optik Benz GmbH is an owner-managed optician and hearing acoustics business in Weingarten (Baden-Württemberg). The family business was founded in 1981 by Hartmut Benz and is now run by the second generation, Valentin and Tanja Benz. The core of the value chain is the own workshop in the retail store, where spectacle lenses are processed for almost every frame type and spectacles are manufactured individually; repairs such as soldering, cementing and reworking of own lenses into new frames are also carried out in-house. The prerequisite is precise refraction with a DNEye scanner (3D eye measurement), Vision-R 800 and AVA vision test. In the contact lens field, the team performs tear film analyses, measures the shape of the cornea with a corneal topographer and works among other things with WÖHLK contact lenses. Customers are private individuals of all age groups – from children's glasses to teens, twens and adults.
