About Orthomol
Orthomol is a family-owned company founded in 1991 by Dr. Kristian Glagau and headquartered in Langenfeld (Rhineland). The company develops, produces and distributes orthomolecular micronutrient combinations of vitamins, minerals, trace elements, secondary plant compounds and other active ingredients such as omega-3 fatty acids and intestinal symbionts. The product range includes multi-nutrient preparations for areas of application such as the immune system, cardiovascular health, the musculoskeletal system, gut health, women's health, fertility, pregnancy and breastfeeding, and since 2024 also the single-nutrient line Orthomol Essentials. Products are offered in a variety of dosage forms, including granulate, tablets, capsules, drinking bottles, direct granulate, sprays and oils. Raw material selection, supplier qualification and batch testing follow defined inspection processes; manufacturing takes place at audited contract manufacturers in Germany and Europe. Distribution channels are pharmacies, physicians, mail order and the online shop. The company employs around 600 staff at three locations and is led in its second generation by Nils Glagau.
