The Company

Otto Oehme GmbH is a fourth-generation Bavarian family business that has been manufacturing professional cleaning products for commercial use since 1923. The product range includes specialty cleaners, care products, disinfectants as well as cleaning accessories, equipment trolleys and machines. All formulations – more than 200 formulations – are developed and produced in-house; in addition, the company offers private-label products and contract filling. Customers include building cleaners, caretaker services, hotels, restaurants, public facilities, the automotive and major industries, and cleaning product distributors. Together with aids and machines, the company offers complete solutions for cleanliness and hygiene, from household supplies to industrial cleaning. The headquarters with main administration and production is located in Allersberg; subsidiaries exist in Berlin, Braunschweig, Hannover, Leipzig and Frankfurt. Large-scale consumers are supplied domestically and in the EU via the company's own factory-direct delivery fleet; products are represented in more than 20 countries.

Environment and Legal Certainty

All formulations are free of CFCs, chlorinated hydrocarbons and aromatic solvents and comply with statutory regulations (EU Detergents Directive, WRMG, ChemG, GefStoffV, REACH). The company is a member of professional associations such as IHO, IKW, VCI and FRT as well as a participant in the Bavarian Environmental Pact; disinfectants are VAH-listed.

History

1. 1923

   Foundation of Lorito S.A. by Willy Oehme in Vevey (Switzerland); the product range was limited to the Lorito cream

2. 1970

   Otto Oehme takes over the company; founding of Otto Oehme GmbH based in Wendelstein, focus on business customers

3. 1998

   Move to the current company premises in Allersberg; founding of subsidiaries in Berlin, Braunschweig, Hannover, Leipzig and Frankfurt

4. 2003

   Ulla Oehme and Klaus Krisch join the executive management

5. 2005

   Expansion with the founding of several foreign companies; presence in more than 20 countries

6. 2010

   Ulla Oehme acquires company shares and becomes company owner (4th generation)

7. 2017

   Carlos Oehme becomes managing director
