Otto Zimmermann GmbH, based in Saarbrücken, has been delivering solutions in hydraulics and plant engineering since 1949. In power unit and plant engineering, the company designs hydraulic power units, valve stands, control blocks and press hydraulics in CAD (AutoCAD, Inventor, EPLAN), manufactures tanks and blocks from steel – from a 10-liter tank up to a volume of 25,000 liters, control blocks over 2 m in length and press blocks weighing around 5 t – and assembles the systems including piping, flushing and commissioning. This is complemented by electrical and automation services including control cabinet construction, PLC programming, variable-speed drive systems, ATEX-compliant hydraulics in accordance with Directive 2014/34/EU, and retrofitting of existing systems. In addition, there is component trading (Bosch Rexroth, Hydac, VOSS Fluidtechnik, Emerson/AVENTICS), a comprehensive service and repair area with 24-hour service, a hydraulics test bench, accumulator service, ID-E pressure accumulator testing with TÜV Thüringen, as well as UVV, BWS and press inspections. Around 50 employees at the Saarbrücken site serve iron and steel works and rolling mills, power plants, mining, offshore, automotive and chemical industries as well as conveying and stage technology.

History
- 1949
Founded on June 15, 1949 by Otto Zimmermann in Saarbrücken (Kanzemer Weg 23) as a sales representative for industrial supplies.
- 1953
Focus on oil hydraulics, representation of Rexroth in Saarland and Rhineland-Palatinate, 3 employees.
- 1954
Rexroth hydraulics for the fine iron line of the Röchling iron and steel works in Völklingen: 600 working cylinders and 430 control and regulating valves.
- 1957
Commissioning of the system in Völklingen after 3 years of construction.
- 1964
Relocation to the Scheidter Berg in Saarbrücken, 9 employees.
- 1977
Relocation to the Süd industrial estate; Klaus Zimmermann becomes managing director; conversion of the KG into a GmbH (19.12.1977).
