About OWI
OWI GmbH was founded in 1927 by Oskar Winkler and, as a family business in its third generation, is a supplier to the seating furniture industry. The company manufactures molded parts made of wood and plastic as well as frames and housings. In addition to series components, the portfolio includes its own product innovations such as OWI-FireProtect, OWI-EcoCycle, OWI-FiberFlex and the OWI-Bodychair mechanism. Production takes place at two sites: in Lohr am Main (Germany) and in Letenye (Hungary). The German plant houses a bentwood pressing shop in which bentwood presses process veneer and wood into curved molded parts; molded parts made of plastic are also produced there. OWI sees itself as a partner-like supplier that develops sustainable molded parts and also realizes seemingly impossible solutions for its customers.
