About PEC – fuse components and precision stamped parts from Japan
太平洋精工株式会社 (Pacific Engineering Corporation, PEC), founded in 1961 as a spin-off of the specialty parts division of Taiheiyo Kogyo and headquartered in Ogaki, Gifu Prefecture (Japan), is a specialized manufacturer of automotive fuses and precision stamped and pressed parts. With an annual production of around 3.2 billion automotive fuses and more than 700 billion cumulative units sold, the company ranks among the leading suppliers in this field. The product range includes blade, slow-blow, multi-slow-blow, battery-terminal and pyro fuses as well as EV fuses up to 1000 V. In the field of precision metalworking, the entire spectrum is covered, from tool design through tool manufacturing (up to presses of the 600-ton class) to series production, including forming technology and insert molding. Materials processed include steel, high-tensile steels (up to 780 MPa), non-ferrous metals and plastics. In addition to the automotive industry, the company supplies the electronics/electrical appliance industry (including printers and copiers) as well as battery technology (cans for lithium-ion batteries). In addition to its main plants in Ogaki, the company operates production facilities in Mexico (Silao) and Thailand (Rayong) as well as sales offices in the USA, Germany and China.
