About Panono
Panono GmbH, based in Berlin, developed the Panono Camera, a spherical panoramic camera with 36 permanently built-in camera modules. The ball, roughly 11 centimeters in size and just under 500 grams in weight, captures 36 individual images simultaneously, either thrown or mounted on a tripod, which are then stitched online into a spherical panorama with over 100 megapixels. Shutter release is via a release button, a stick, a mobile app via WLAN, or automatically at the highest point of the throwing arc. Stitching of the individual images was performed on a company web server in Ireland or locally with the UPF Converter software. After insolvency in 2017, the Bryanston Group AG acquired the assets, trademarks and patents and continued operations as Professional360 GmbH; this was liquidated in 2022.
