Julius Schulte Söhne GmbH & Co. KG is a fifth-generation family business that has been producing paper and board at its Düsseldorf site since 1886. The portfolio includes core board for paper cores and cardboard tubes including heavy-duty cores, grey board for various applications, as well as laminating paper and laminating board. All products are made exclusively from recovered paper (recycling); two independent production lines process basis weights from 140 to 630 g/m² at slit widths of 50 to 2,400 mm. Production is highly automated with a plant-wide process control system as well as moisture and caliper profile measurement. Customers are found in the hygiene paper industry, among manufacturers of paper cores and cardboard tubes, in the graphic board and packaging industry, and in food packaging. In addition, the company offers paper analysis with its own laboratory capacity, consulting, workshops and training. In February 2026, the company announced the gradual shutdown of the Düsseldorf site by mid-2027; the core market is to be served in the future via Julius Schulte Trebsen GmbH & Co. KG.
