About P/O/WEBER

Paul-Otto Weber Maschinen- und Apparatebau GmbH (P/O/WEBER), based in Remshalden-Grunbach near Stuttgart, developed, designed and manufactured laboratory presses and pressing tools for materials research, development and quality assurance from 1949. The product range comprised hydraulic, pneumatic, cold isostatic and servo-controlled laboratory presses as well as custom-manufactured pressing tools, including vacuum pressing tools for infrared spectroscopy. In addition, the company developed the PRESSYS microprocessor control for ramped pressing force and temperature sequences, as well as experimental units and instructional presses for vocational schools in metal and wood technology. Cold isostatic laboratory presses enable three-dimensional pressing in elastic moulds at pressures of several thousand bar. Customers included research institutes and research centres, universities, technology companies from the chemical and pharmaceutical industries as well as vocational schools worldwide, among them the Max Planck Institute Stuttgart and Robert Bosch. After 77 years, business operations will cease on 31.12.2026; warranty and guarantee services will continue to be provided.
