About the Pleiger Group

The Paul Pleiger Maschinenfabrik was founded in 1925 in Sprockhövel and initially manufactured compressed-air valves and fittings for the mining industry. Today, the Pleiger Group is a diversified German high-tech manufacturer with its own vocational training centre and several production sites. The company manufactures hydraulic radial piston motors and slew drives, control valves, centrifugal pumps, electrohydraulic shipbuilding systems as well as electronic systems. In parallel, it produces aluminium die castings and non-ferrous metal castings, and in the plastics sector it is a pioneer of polyurethane cast elastomers with the materials Vulkollan®, Plei-Tech® and PLEI-TECH® 3D. In addition, the Group manufactures optical components for the laser industry made of ZnSe, including lenses, laser mirrors and optical coatings. In the 1996 reorganisation, the divisions were spun off as independent companies of the Pleiger Group.
