About the PAYER Group
The PAYER Group was founded in 1946 by Eduard Payer in Austria and is today a global manufacturing partner for leading brands in the Medical and Consumer Goods business fields. At the headquarters in St. Bartholomä (Styria) – the technology and innovation center – medical production is carried out in clean and grey rooms; the Cutter Competence Center for cutting systems is also located here. Further production sites are located in Ajka (Hungary), China and Malaysia. The value chain covers concept and product development, industrial engineering, toolmaking, plastic injection molding with clamping forces of 30–550 t on more than 100 machines, metal processing (grinding, milling), assembly and packaging. Customers come from medical technology (Diagnostics, Patient Care, Surgery, Personal Health) as well as from the consumer goods segments Personal Care, Home & Garden and Lifestyle. More than 10 million consumer goods and over 20 million medical disposable items are produced annually.

Materials & Processes
Polycarbonate (PC)
For injection molding tools and optical parts with high demands on transparency and precision.
PMMA
Material for tools for optical parts in plastic injection molding.
Silicone
Used in products with special processing requirements, e.g. breast pump components.
Titanium
Manufactured as part of the design cooperation with F.A. Porsche (luxury shaver, 1984).
Aerospace-grade steels
Used for surgical devices: stamping, bending and calibration with tight tolerances.
Thermoplastic polymers
Processing of all thermoplastic materials up to high-performance plastics in injection molding.
