Peiner Entsorgungsgesellschaft mbH (PEG) has been active in the Peine district for over 15 years as a regional link between waste producers and waste recoverers. At the Stedum site, waste wood, waste paper, scrap metal, plastics and other secondary raw materials are processed and supplied to downstream processing industries. Waste wood of categories AI and AII is hand-sorted, freed of metals, screened and shredded several times; from this, chips and wood shavings are produced for material recycling in the wood-based materials industry, as well as CO2-neutral AI energy wood from untreated waste wood. Waste paper is sorted, baled and delivered to paper mills, and scrap metal is supplied to the steel industry. In addition, PEG offers a container service, bulk goods and construction materials (gravel, sand, soil, crushed stone, mineral mix) as well as a construction division for paths, squares and green areas. As a certified waste management specialist company (EfB), the company serves industry, trade and private customers; a reference customer is enercity Contracting.
