Pekutherm Kunststoffe GmbH is an owner-managed family business founded in 1985, based in Geisenheim on the Rhine, and specialized in the mechanical recycling of technical plastics. The focus is on acrylic glass (PMMA) and polycarbonate (PC); in addition, thermoplastics such as PET-G, PP, PE, PVC, SAN, ABS, POM, PA, PS and PET as well as aluminium composite sheets (DIBOND) are also taken back. Plastic waste is collected via collection boxes and Europe-wide logistics, sorted by type and gently granulated on precision cutting mills; the company's own special air classifiers dedust the ground material, producing crystal-clear recyclates with virgin-material properties. The company is a TÜV Süd-certified waste management specialist, has been ISCC PLUS certified since 2025 and has used green electricity since 2020. Customers come from plastics processing, the automotive and electrical industries, trade fair construction and MMA chemistry. The sorting capacity at the Geisenheim site is up to 10,000 tonnes per year.

Founded and specialised in the recycling of technical plastics, in particular PMMA and PC.
- 2020
Switch to green electricity from LichtBlick since 01.01.2020; avoidance of 136.83 t of CO2 per year.
- 2024
Cooperation with Exolon Group in closed-loop recycling for thermoplastics; founding of a Europe-wide alliance for sustainable PMMA recycling.
- 2025
40th anniversary; planned doubling of recycling volume to 10,000 t; ISCC PLUS certification (October/November); take-back and recycling initiative with POLYVANTIS for PLEXIGLAS production waste.
