Pelletron – Conveying Technology and Dedusting since 1987
Pelletron develops and manufactures systems for the pneumatic conveying and dedusting of dry bulk materials such as plastic pellets, powders and granular materials. The company, founded in 1987 by Jerry Paulson in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, created the Kinetic Gravity DeDuster®, which uses a magnetic flux field to interrupt the electrostatic charge between dust and pellets and removes dust, angel hair (streamers) and contaminants via patented air-wash levels and vacuum deposition. Since 2003, Pelletron has also designed complete pneumatic conveying systems using Dilute Phase, Dense Phase and its own STRANDPHASE® technology (15–25 m/s gas velocity). Components such as the low-wear Pellbow® conveying pipe elbow, rotary valves, diverter valves, filters and the dust-free container loading system siloadmaxX® round out the portfolio. Value-added services include engineering studies, system design through to turnkey installation, test laboratory services (dedusting, conveying and attrition tests according to ASTM D7486 and FEM 2484), toll cleaning and spare parts service. Customers include plastics manufacturing and processing (including rPET recycling and PLA biopolymers), chemicals, food, packaging, automotive and medical technology. Headquarters are in Lancaster, PA (USA); the European subsidiary pelletroneurope GmbH in Bodnegg/Allgäu serves the European market.

Quality and Testing
Pelletron tests products in its own test laboratory with the FineAlyzer® RM (wet test according to ASTM D7486-08) and FineAlyzer® FM (European FEM standard); dust particles are measured from 1.6 microns. In addition, ASTM D1921 and FEM 2484 as well as conveying and attrition tests in the test loop are available.
