PERFORATOR GmbH, based in Walkenried, is a manufacturer of horizontal and vertical drilling technologies. The product range includes drill pipes and accessories for DTH, rotary, RC, HDD and oil/gas drill pipe (OCTG), jacking rigs, augers, drilling heads and cutting tools as well as 2-component injection pumps for polyurethane and silicate resins. In addition, the company offers HDD locating systems as a distribution partner of Underground Magnetics, along with service and spare parts business, hardfacing/hardbanding, internal coating and friction welding. Manufacturing uses steel, aluminium alloys and antimagnetic stainless steel to API specifications; since 2021, PERFORATOR has been producing with a self-developed automated friction welding machine for drill pipes. The company belongs to the Schmidt Kranz Group and supplies drilling equipment manufacturers such as EPIROC, Sandvik, CAT, Herrenknecht, Ditch Witch and Vermeer worldwide. The quality management system is API and ISO certified and ensures complete material traceability.
