About Pergam-Suisse AG
Pergam-Suisse AG is an internationally active company headquartered in Kilchberg near Zurich that develops and manufactures equipment and services for the detection of methane leaks. The detectors are based on Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy (TDLAS) and are available as handheld devices, stationary systems, vehicle-based laboratories (SELMA), aircraft- and helicopter-based systems (ALMA) as well as UAV payloads (Laser Falcon, LMF, ALMA G5). In addition, the company offers inspection services: aerial inspection of gas pipelines and underground gas storage facilities, inspection of high-voltage power lines using a tri-spectral camera on a gyro-stabilized platform, and UAV-based methane monitoring of landfills. The systems are produced and supported in Switzerland, Italy and the USA; equipment is in operation in 18 countries, with over 400,000 inspected kilometers. Customers come from natural gas supply, pipeline operation, power grid infrastructure and emissions monitoring.

Measured Quantities and Spectroscopy
Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy
Diode laser spectroscopy for selective methane measurement along a laser beam up to reflecting objects at distances of up to 300 m.
Methane (Natural Gas)
Target gas of all detector product lines; measured as column density (ppm·m).
Ammonia
Detectable gas with a dedicated ammonia gas detector.
Water Vapor
No interference with the methane measurement; ALMA detectors are insensitive to other gases.

Quality and Certifications
The detectors perform an automatic self-calibration at every startup and during operation via a built-in methane reference cell; the devices are not considered measuring instruments and therefore do not require external verification. The ALMA G2 holds STC and FAA Conformity certificates.
