PFT Flock-Technik GmbH, headquartered in Herscheid, is a specialist in industrial flocking and design flocking of series and branded parts. The company employs all common flocking processes and finishes, among other things, car door seals, storage compartments, springs, screw heads, cover strips and housings of household appliances. The process is based on a full-area or partial-area adhesive application into which the flock is inserted in an electric field perpendicular to the surface. To improve adhesion, fluorination is offered among other things as a pretreatment. Polyamide (0.3–10 mm), polyester (0.3–1.2 mm), viscose (0.3–6 mm) and cotton (0.3–0.5 mm) flock materials with various titers and colors are used. Customers include major customers from the automotive industry, manufacturers of household appliances, and medium-sized companies from the furniture, packaging and entertainment industries. Founded in 1993, the company employs more than 80 staff and is a member of the Flock Association of Europe.
