PHS Medical GmbH is a manufacturer specializing in implantable vascular port catheter systems, based in Fuldabrück near Kassel. Since 1996, the company has developed and manufactured port chambers and percutaneous introducer sets for long-term venous vascular access, including the NuPort®-CT, NuPort®-LP-CT, C-Port®, C-Port®-II and C-Port®-CT product lines. The port chambers are made of titanium or plastic, the catheters of polyurethane or Silastic® silicone. The patented elliptical chamber geometry with tangential or near-floor outlet improves flushing behavior and reduces the risks of occlusion and infection. In 2020, PHS Medical manufactured around 40,000 ports and introducers; the products are in use in 15 countries on five continents. In addition to its own brand, the company offers customized production as private label or OEM.
