About Pieper Holz
Pieper Holz GmbH is a family-run sawmill and wood processing company founded in 1948, based in Olsberg-Assinghausen in Sauerland. On a 330,000 m² company site, 165 employees process domestic coniferous wood along the entire value chain: from purchasing round timber to sawmilling production, wood drying, planing, heat treatment (IPPC), and impregnation, up to CNC cutting for timber construction. The company manufactures playground equipment and leisure facilities from Douglas fir, oak, as well as steel, stainless steel, aluminum, HDPE, and HPL for kindergartens, schools, municipalities, and parks, including bridges, log cabins, shelters, and large and inclusive playground systems according to EN 1176. Since 2022, it has been producing ENplus-A1 wood pellets at its own pellet plant, supported by a 6.5 MW power plant. A dedicated vehicle fleet, including rail connection, ensures logistics; the PEFC certification attests to sustainable wood sourcing.
