Who we are
PL Engineering GmbH is an owner-managed engineering firm founded in 1999, headquartered in Untergruppenbach with a branch office in Flein near Heilbronn. Its team of engineers specializing in production technology, logistics, and industrial organization designs and implements structures and processes in manufacturing companies. The services comprise four service modules: integrated management systems (development, implementation, auditing, method introduction such as FMEA, APQP, PPAP), process management and software solutions including the PL production system thinkLean@pl (Lean6Sigma, SMED, TPM, VSM, Kanban), logistics and material flow planning (layout, warehouse, and factory planning), as well as seminars and qualification programs. Customers include companies from the automotive, mechanical engineering, metal processing, surface technology, plastics, electrical engineering, and logistics sectors, including Würth, Bosch, Siemens, SICK, and ElringKlinger. Since 2017, PL has been a preferred cooperation partner of the Würth Consulting division; by 2024, more than 128 customers in over 250 projects have been supported.

Foundation of PL Engineering GmbH in Untergruppenbach.
- 2014
The qualification program "Integrated Management Systems" (VDA-approved) designed by PL earns the Akademie Würth the Quality Award of the Würth Group.
- 2016
Grass Gruppe receives the Quality Award of the Würth Group for the Lean@Grass strategy developed jointly with PL.
- 2017
PL becomes a preferred cooperation partner of the Würth Consulting division for management systems and qualification programs.
- 2018
New hires, revision of the service portfolio, and redesign of the marketing area.

20th anniversary, 250th project with over 100 customers; relocation to new offices in Flein.
