planen-center.com production GmbH is a mid-sized manufacturer of technical tarpaulins and tarpaulin frame structures (Spriegel) headquartered and producing in Neu-Ulm. The company manufactures tarpaulins for trailers and vans as well as custom cover systems for containers, machinery and applications in large-scale kitchens, including food-safe tarpaulins. The value chain comprises millimeter-precise cutting of textile and plastic sheeting, joining by sewing or welding, and attaching reinforcements, eyelets and keder profiles. The associated tarpaulin frame constructions made of steel profiles are cut, welded, galvanized and then bolted, plugged together and assembled with fittings, brackets and tarpaulin. Optionally, tarpaulins are finished with durable, color-intensive UV digital printing; a graphics department assists with design. The products are used throughout Germany as well as in other European countries; assembly on the vehicle is carried out by a network of more than 500 partner businesses. In addition, online configurators for trailers and vans are available, allowing dimensions, color, material and accessories to be compiled to exact measurements.
