About PlasmaChem
PlasmaChem GmbH was founded in 1993 in Mainz and has been based in the Berlin technology region of Adlershof since 2005. The company develops and produces nanomaterials such as NanoDiamonds, NanoCeramics and NanoMetals on an industrial scale using Controlled Detonation Synthesis (CDS) and Hot Plasma Jet Synthesis (HPJS). In addition, nanopowders are functionalized by chemical and low-temperature plasma processes and processed into ready-to-use products such as nano-abrasives, lubricant additives and composite nano-suspensions for electroplating. Another business area is patented cardiac implants (BioDiamond) with a biocompatible diamond-like carbon coating on surgical stainless steel 316L, as well as contact lens developments, which were transferred in 2004 to Lenswista AG in cooperation with Bayer AG. Services include custom synthesis, BET surface analysis, sedimentation analysis, carbon analysis, NanoLuminograph measurements and AFM/STM scanning probe measurements. Cooperations exist, among others, with Humboldt University of Berlin and with customers such as Siemens AG and Bayer AG.
