About Plastocell
Based in Schifferstadt, Plastocell Kunststoff GmbH has been developing and manufacturing product solutions for sound insulation and isolation for more than 30 years. The portfolio includes laminations, conversions, die-cut parts and self-adhesive tapes based on the company's own insulation materials such as polyester fiber fleece, open-cell PUR foams, melamine resin foam, polyethylene foam, closed-cell rubbers as well as bitumen films for the vibration damping of thin-walled sheet metal. The core competence lies in flexible deep conversion, in which customer-specific solutions are manufactured in small to large series and, if required, delivered just-in-time directly to the assembly line. Customers include manufacturers of buses, rail vehicles, automobiles, machinery and equipment as well as building and HVAC technology, medical technology and ship and boat building. The management system is certified to DIN EN ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001. Since 2014, Plastocell has been part of the Gummi-Welz corporate group (GWU) and, since the acquisition of the GWU group by HÜBNER in April 2019, part of the HÜBNER Group (Material Solutions segment).
