About us
platzmann federn GmbH & Co. KG, headquartered in Hagen, Westphalia, is a family-owned company run by its owners since 1922 and manufactures technical springs and wire bending parts. The product range includes compression, extension and torsion springs as well as wire bending parts with wire diameters of 0.08 to 62 mm and leaf springs from 0.10 to 15 mm in thickness and 1.00 to 300 mm in width. Production is carried out from spring steel wires according to DIN EN 10270-1/-2/-3, stainless alloys and heat-resistant wires up to 800 °C on CNC-controlled WAFIOS machines equipped with camera systems. In addition, the company offers design, calculations, drawings, serial samples, assembly of complete assemblies as well as surface treatments such as electroplating, painting, plastic coating and Deltatone/Deltaseal. The products are primarily supplied to the automotive and agricultural machinery industries as well as mechanical engineering and medical technology. Quality assurance is performed using laser technology, 100% sorting systems and computer-aided quality assurance (CAQ); the company is certified according to ISO 9001:2015.
