pmt Global GmbH, headquartered in Freilassing (Bavaria), develops and manufactures automatic optical coordinate measuring machines (AOCMM) and 3D metrology systems for quality assurance in the electronics and energy technology industries. The modular software portal smartSOFT combines point laser, 2D line scanning, 2D contour measurement and 3D metrology. The sixth generation of the high-speed scan measuring machine smartLITE is used by leading PCB manufacturers worldwide. Further machine types are smartPROFILER (3D metrology), smartSTAGE (desktop) and customer-specific smartPROJECT systems. The machines are used for production contour measurement, first-article inspection, production monitoring and sample measurement; loading and unloading solutions as well as inline inspection are also offered. Fields of application, alongside printed circuit boards (PCB/bare board), include flat battery electrode foils, solar cells, bipolar plates for fuel cells, MEMS and thin etched metal parts. The core technology is developed and manufactured in-house.
