Porsche eBike Performance GmbH, under the FAZUA brand, develops and distributes compact drive systems for lightweight e-bikes. The FAZUA Drive System combines motor and battery in a light, slim and quiet unit that integrates seamlessly into the bicycle frame. The systems offered are the RIDE 60 (4,3 kg total weight, 60 Nm, 430 Wh battery) and the RIDE 50 TRAIL & STREET (4,4 kg, 58 Nm, 252 Wh); these are complemented by the ENERGY 480 battery (480 Wh at 2,4 kg) and the MODE CONTROL controller. FAZUA was founded in 2013 by Johannes Biechele and Fabian Reuter as a spin-off from a university project; in 2015 the concept paved the way for lightweight e-bikes. Since July 2022, the brand has been part of Porsche eBike Performance GmbH, headquartered in Ottobrunn near Munich. Customers include internationally renowned bike brands such as Canyon, Santa Cruz, Focus, Ghost, Riese & Müller, Haibike and Wilier. The company is currently in a wind-down process; service requests are possible on a limited basis.
