About Posalux

Posalux is a manufacturer of micromachining machines founded in 1943 in Switzerland, headquartered in Biel/Bienne. The company builds high-tech production systems based on three core technologies: femtosecond laser micromachining (FEMTO), electrical discharge machining (EDM) and mechanical micromachining (ULTRASPEED, ULTIMATE). The machines perform drilling, milling/routing, cutting and turning on small parts, including spray-hole drilling in diesel injection nozzles, micromachining of GDI valve seats, drilling and routing of printed circuit boards, and turning of contact pins for the IC substrate test industry. Materials include metals such as aluminium, brass, copper, stainless steel and titanium, precious metals, plastics such as PEEK, ceramics, glass and PCB laminates. Posalux employs around 130 staff, exports 95% of its production and maintains subsidiaries in Germany, the USA, Korea and Taiwan.
