About TRIPLEX-Q
Präzisionswerkzeuge Schmidt e.K. manufactures solid carbide tools for high-performance machining at its site in Zella-Mehlis, Thuringia, under the TRIPLEX-Q brand. The range includes HPC and TPC milling cutters, roughing and multi-flute cutters, aluminium cutters, full-radius and quarter-radius cutters, end mills as well as VHM high-performance drills from Ø 1 to 20 mm, complemented by NC deburring tools and special dimensions. The tools are made from fine-grain and ultrafine-grain carbide and are coated with coatings such as nACo blue, TiXCo, TiAlN, DLC and multipurpose. In addition to the standard range, the company designs and manufactures custom VHM tools to drawing – from profile cutters and step drills to T-slot and thread milling cutters – as well as modified semi-standard tools (TRIPLEX-Q special). A regrinding and coating service as well as advice on tool selection and cutting data round off the offering. Customers are machining companies, machine builders and CNC manufacturers in Germany and Switzerland; standard tools are shipped from stock, usually within 1–3 working days.
