About Precira

Precira AG is an agricultural technology company founded in 2025 and based in Lucerne, Switzerland. It develops, produces and markets autonomous robotics solutions for agriculture; its core product is a self-propelled weed control robot that identifies plants via AI image recognition and removes weeds with millimeter precision using a high-power laser — entirely without chemicals and without manual labor. The robot weighs less than 500 kg, therefore causes no soil compaction and remains operational even on wet terrain; according to the company, the detection rate exceeds 99 % and costs are roughly three times lower than manual weeding. The system is designed for over 24 hours of uninterrupted continuous operation and adapts to existing agricultural workflows. Precira offers field demos and test deployments on farms and additionally provides services in the agricultural sector as well as IT and software services. The interdisciplinary team covers AI/computer vision, laser optics, electrical engineering and system integration.
