About us
PRECITEL AG develops, produces and distributes electronic controllers with a focus on industrial and advertising clocks. The product range includes master clocks for driving pulse secondary clocks in quartz-accurate (TCXO), radio-synchronized (DCF 77.5 kHz and MSF 60 kHz) or satellite-synchronized (GPS/GLONASS) versions, as well as radio-synchronized time servers with DCF code output. The controllers are available with mains power supply or lithium or alkaline battery operation and come in both non-weatherproof and weatherproof housing variants. In addition, the company manufactures customer-specific electronic products and solutions as well as control cabinets built to order, including schematic creation. Founded in 1987 as a spin-off from the Neuchâtel Observatory and headquartered in Gwatt in the canton of Bern, the company serves niche markets in which standard solutions are not sufficient. The electronic assemblies are developed, manufactured and distributed in-house.

Products & Technology
Quartz time base (temperature-compensated)
Temperature-compensated quartz oscillator with a maximum deviation of +/- 1 minute per year, even outdoors (0 ... 40 °C).
DCF 77.5 kHz radio synchronization
Synchronization with atomic time via the Mainflingen transmitter (Germany); if the radio signal is unavailable, the clock continues running with quartz accuracy.
MSF 60 kHz radio synchronization
Synchronization with atomic time via the Anthorn transmitter (England).
Satellite synchronization
Synchronization with atomic time via GPS or GLONASS; a clear view of the sky is required.
