Presse-Vertrieb Hermann Trunk GmbH & Co. KG is a press wholesaler headquartered in Munich-Freimann and part of the MELO Group. As one of 13 press wholesalers in Germany, the company supplies retailers in Bavaria and Bavarian Swabia with daily newspapers and magazines. The delivery territory defined by the publishing houses covers 17,100 km² with around 1.8 million households and 3.8 million inhabitants; it extends from the Munich metropolitan area across southern Upper Bavaria to Swabia and the Allgäu. Seven times a week, around 3,100 press retailers receive an assortment of more than 4,300 domestic and foreign titles by overnight delivery on weekdays (around 800 on Sundays); for this, the vehicles cover around 5 million kilometres annually. Core services include the disposition and regulation of delivery quantities based on a regulation and forecasting programme, overnight delivery, as well as the logistics, Press Service and Tobacco & Non-Press segments. Supervised publishing houses include Süddeutsche Zeitung, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Axel Springer, Bauer Vertriebs KG, Burda Medien, Condé Nast and Red Bull Media House.
