About Priess

Priess A/S is a Danish family-owned company based in Holstebro, privately held and in existence since 1921. Originally founded as a radio technology installation firm, the company has evolved into a competence centre for technical utility stations. It manufactures transformer substations in a plug-and-play concept, technical shelters for power and wastewater, pump and district heating stations, utility cabinets, distribution and meter boxes, server rooms and charging stations. Production is carried out as steel fabrication with its own paint booth and covers design, sheet metal working, painting and assembly through to the ready-to-use station. Customers include utilities, municipalities and industrial companies in Denmark, Germany, Sweden and Norway, including BTB Berlin, Aalborg Forsyning and Gävle Energi. Revenue in 2024 amounted to DKK 363 million; the company headquarters has been under expansion since January 2024. In 2025/2026, Priess is taking over the ABB product line Compact Secondary Substation in Norway.
