About Primex Steel Trading
Primex Steel Trading GmbH was founded in Düsseldorf in 1974 and has been active in international steel trading for over 50 years, dealing in steel and non-ferrous products. Its core business comprises the sourcing and distribution of carbon steels, flat and long products, stainless steel and aluminium finished products between producers and customers worldwide. In addition to direct sourcing from producers, the company can draw on the warehouses of the Carl Spaeter Group; slit strip, sheets in standard and fixed formats as well as cut-to-size pieces are offered through the affiliated company Hebels Staalservice B.V. in the Netherlands. The service portfolio includes, alongside the procurement of high-quality material, comprehensive logistics with sea transport, customs clearance and insurance, storage and just-in-time delivery as well as tailored financing concepts. Since 2004, Primex Steel Trading GmbH has belonged to the Carl Spaeter Group, founded in 1875, one of the 500 highest-revenue family businesses in Germany. In addition to its headquarters on Königsallee in Düsseldorf, the company operates sales offices in Dubai, Mumbai, Shanghai, Istanbul and Johannesburg.
