The Brewery
Privat-Brauerei Heinrich Reissdorf GmbH & Co KG is an independent Cologne family brewery in its fourth generation. Founded in 1894 as a top-fermenting brewery in the Severinsviertel district, the company today produces top-fermented Kölsch as well as bottom-fermented beers and non-alcoholic beverages such as Radler, Fassbrause and alcohol-free Kölsch at its Cologne-Rodenkirchen site. Since the relocation in 1996, a modern production facility with greater capacity and state-of-the-art brewing technology has been in operation. The brewery works in a resource-conserving manner with CO₂ recovery, reuse of spent grain and yeast, its own photovoltaic system and heat exchangers. Its customers are the hospitality sector, retail and consumers in Germany; Reissdorf is one of the best-known Kölsch brands in Germany. The personally liable partner is Brauerei Reissdorf GmbH, managed by Michael and Christian von Rieff.
