About Privatbrauerei Höß
Privatbrauerei Höß GmbH & Co. KG, known as Der Hirschbräu, is a traditional family brewery in Sonthofen, Germany's southernmost town. Its brewing history dates back more than 350 years, to 1657. At its headquarters on Grüntenstrasse, 18 different beer varieties are currently brewed – from Hirsch Gold to Pils, wheat beer, Märzen and Holzar Bier, through to craft variants such as organic beer, Leichter Hirsch and canned beer. The brewery strictly adheres to the Reinheitsgebot (German Beer Purity Law) and relies on regional ingredients such as water, hops and malt. According to the company, its beers embody quality, purity, variety and good taste. The range is distributed via the company's own fleet to the gastronomy sector, home delivery service and events, via the beverage retail trade, and worldwide. The brewery also includes a brewery inn, a beverage barn (Getränkestadl), the Bräumarkt and an event service.
