Privatbrauerei Jacob Stauder GmbH & Co. KG is an independent family brewery in Essen, run in the sixth generation since 1867. At its site on Stauderstraße in Essen-Altenessen, the company brews beer specialties with more than 145 employees, such as Stauder Pils, Ruhrtyp Hell, Borbecker Helles Dampfbier as well as non-alcoholic variants, Radler and lemonades. Production comprises the brewhouse, fermentation, storage and modern filling technology; since the 1950s, systems, filling technology and logistics have been continuously modernized. Distribution takes place predominantly in the Ruhr region to the hospitality industry and specialized beverage wholesale, supplemented by route delivery, an online shop, brewery courtyard sales and brewery tours. The company is known beyond the region and sees itself as a tradition-conscious part of Ruhr culture.
