About Bauer Natur
The Privatmolkerei Bauer is a family company founded in 1887 and headquartered in Wasserburg in the Bavarian Alpine foothills. The company processes milk from regional agriculture into yoghurts, drinkable yoghurts, desserts, cheese and kefir products. Its best-known product is the fruit yoghurt "Der Grosse Bauer", introduced in 1975, which has significantly shaped the fruit yoghurt market in Germany. Since 1994, Bauer has also produced and marketed yoghurt products in partnership with Mövenpick. The milk is tested multiple times for ingredients, bacteriological condition, inhibitors and somatic cells. In 2013, the sister companies were united under the umbrella of the Bauer Group; since 2021, Heiko Modell has been CEO of the Group. The products are distributed in Germany.
