profine GmbH – International Profile Group, headquartered in Pirmasens (Rhineland-Palatinate), is a manufacturer of plastic profiles for windows and doors, PVC sheets, and privacy screening systems. As a system provider, the company also offers hybrid aluminium and aluminium window profiles as well as aluminium façade solutions. Production is carried out by profile and sheet extrusion from PVC, including integral foam sheets (KömaCel) and rigid sheets (KömaDur); in addition, decorative surface coatings are applied, PVC recycling is operated, and 3D printing with patented PVC (Kömmerling PrintFlow®) is offered. Customer industries include window and door construction, the building sector, the advertising and trade fair construction industry, and general industry. profine GmbH was formed in 2003 by merging the profile activities of HT TROPLAST and continues the tradition of the Kömmerling company founded in Pirmasens in 1897. With more than 3,700 employees, around 1,600 of them in Germany, and a production capacity of approximately 480,000 tonnes of plastic profiles per year, the company supplies more than 100 countries; in Germany, production takes place in Pirmasens and Berlin.
