About Prokon
Prokon Regenerative Energien eG, headquartered in Itzehoe (Schleswig-Holstein), was founded in 1995 as a project office for renewable energy systems and is today one of the largest energy cooperatives in Europe. The company plans, builds and operates onshore wind parks and solar parks and currently manages 75 wind parks with 443 wind turbines and 1043.7 MW of installed capacity in Germany, Poland and Finland. Through Prokon Renewable Energy Service GmbH (Pros), the group offers manufacturer-independent maintenance, technical operations management, remote monitoring, major component replacement and repair, electrical laboratory services as well as expert reports and inspections for wind turbines of more than 70 turbine types. A stock of around 25,500 spare parts enables supply within 24 hours. As a green electricity provider, Prokon supplies around 20,000 households with 100% wind power from its own turbines, certified with the ok-power-plus label and the TÜV Nord seal. The cooperative has around 40,000 members who participate in deciding the company's course via the general assembly.
