About Quooker
Quooker is a Dutch manufacturer of boiling-water tap systems, with the German branch based in Korschenbroich. The company was founded in 1970 by Henri Peteri from Rotterdam (Unilever) with the idea of delivering boiling water directly from the kitchen tap; the first prototype was built in 1974 in the cellar of the Peteri family home. The system consists of a tap on the worktop and a compact tank in the kitchen cupboard which, thanks to patented high-vacuum insulation, keeps the water at 100 °C with a standby consumption of only 10 watts. Optionally, the CUBE additionally supplies chilled still and sparkling water. Production takes place in Ridderkerk in the Netherlands with around 450 employees and an annual capacity of 400,000 systems. The taps are available in more than 35 design variants and finishes, including full stainless steel, brass, patinated brass, rose copper and gunmetal. In addition to private kitchens, Quooker serves residential construction projects, hotels and gastronomy, offices, the healthcare sector as well as architecture and design. More than 4,000 specialist retailers distribute the products in Germany.
