About R. Scheuchl GmbH
R. Scheuchl GmbH is a mid-sized family-owned company for special machinery, automation and process plant engineering headquartered in Ortenburg (Bavaria). Originating from foundry technology, the company develops and manufactures machines and systems for fully automated post-processing of castings (core removal, cooling, sawing, deburring, cleaning) as well as robot cells for handling, packaging and repackaging. A core element is the arc wire spraying process (LDS) for thin steel layers on the cylinder running surfaces of aluminum crankcases – over 30 million coated running surfaces in BMW crankcases. In the field of process engineering, Scheuchl realizes exhaust air purification, solvent recovery, adsorption and condensation dehumidifiers (Scheurusorb) as well as rotary heat exchangers up to 6,200 mm in diameter for painting systems. Design, electrical engineering, PLC programming, simulation and in-house manufacturing are all under one roof – from feasibility assessment through assembly, commissioning and CE conformity to after-sales service with remote monitoring. Materials and processes include gray cast iron, aluminum and steel as well as inorganically bonded core sand. Customers come from the foundry, automotive, pharmaceutical, chemical, packaging and food industries as well as environmental engineering.
