About Realtime Robotics

Realtime Robotics is a software company founded in 2016 as a spin-off of Duke University and headquartered in Boston. The company develops solutions for automated motion planning of industrial robots: the cloud platform Resolver calculates collision-free robot paths, interlocks and task allocation for single- and multi-robot cells, while RapidPlan handles robot programming and control and can be integrated with Siemens Process Simulate. The RapidSense technology uses depth cameras for real-time obstacle detection. The offering also includes Optimization-as-a-Service for reducing the cycle times of existing robot cells based on the customer's digital twin. Customers and partners come primarily from the automotive industry and manufacturing automation, including BMW Group, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Schaeffler, Siemens, Kawasaki Robotics and Mitsubishi Electric. In addition to its headquarters in Boston, the company maintains offices in Berlin and Tokyo.
