About the REMA Group
The REMA Group, headquartered in Rheinbach near Bonn, develops and produces high-current contact systems, connectors for charging electric vehicles, tiller heads, cable system solutions and crimping tools as well as operator interfaces with integrated electronics. Founded in 1919 as "REMA – Richard Müller Elektroarmaturen" in Borsdorf near Leipzig, the company manufactures connection materials such as cable lugs and butt connectors; plastic injection molding for plug connections has been covered by Kunststoff-Form-Technik (KFT) since 1986. The value chain—from the design of high-performance copper contacts through the patented overmolding of the MRC connector to final assembly—is handled entirely in-house. Customers come from electromobility, material handling, logistics, telecommunications, the construction industry, agriculture, building cleaning, shipping and airport transport. With more than 300 employees at sites in Rheinbach, Meiningen, Shanghai, Fountain Inn (USA) and, since 2026, Košice (Slovakia), REMA supplies customers internationally; the subsidiary REMA EV Connections GmbH has been a development partner for automotive manufacturers and infrastructure operators since 2019.
