About Resonic
Resonic GmbH, based in Berlin, develops and produces measurement systems for complete mass properties: mass, center of gravity, moments of inertia and products of inertia. The systems operate on frictionless air bearings with five degrees of freedom and measure the complete mass properties in a single upright object position in under 60 minutes, including fixture subtraction and coordinate transformation. The measurement range extends from test objects weighing only a few grams, such as miniature blowers, to satellites of six tonnes and more; individual moments of inertia can also be determined on objects up to 20 t. In addition to the products resonic F, S, K, P and T, the company offers measurement services at its Berlin and Yokohama sites as well as on-site at customers throughout Europe and Japan. The service portfolio also includes coordinate transformations, fixtures and adapters, measurement accuracy diagnostics, and custom solutions. The systems are used, among other things, in space, aeronautics, shipbuilding, the automotive, motorsport and commercial vehicle industries, as well as for engines and components.

Technology and Processes
Air bearing technology (5 degrees of freedom)
Frictionless air bearing with soft springs enables minimal accelerations (< 0.1 m/s²) and amplitudes (< 2 mm) without clamping the test object.
Air bearing pendulum measurement method
For small objects up to 20 kg (resonic K) or 80 kg (resonic P), oscillation frequencies are measured across 24 platform positions.

Quality
The measurement systems guide the operator interactively through the process and display quality indicators with which rare human errors are detected. A reference system with precisely known mass properties is supplied for accuracy checks.
