About us
richter & heß VERPACKUNGS-SERVICE GmbH was founded in 1990 in Chemnitz as an engineering office for packaging systems and is today a packaging manufacturer and service provider for industry and dangerous goods. The company produces cardboard boxes made of corrugated and solid board in single to triple wall versions, including FEFCO folding boxes, custom designs, large packaging, compartments, inserts and blanks. Manufacturing includes printing (flexo and offset printing), cutting, creasing, die-cutting and closing by gluing, taping and stitching. In addition, the company trades in industrial and dangerous goods packaging made of plastic, steel, tinplate and glass — from 50-ml bottles to 1,250-l IBCs — and handles the take-back and reconditioning of IBCs and drums. A testing and inspection body recognized by BAM since 2020 tests corrugated dangerous goods packaging (Type 4G/4GV) and combination IBCs (Type 31HA1). The range is complemented by assembly/kitting, RFID-supported warehousing and logistics with its own truck fleet. Customers include, among others, the automotive industry, chemicals, electronics and communications, waste disposal and hazardous waste management.

Quality and certification
The company's own testing and inspection body was recognized in 2020 by the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM) and tests corrugated dangerous goods packaging (Type 4G/4GV) as well as combination IBCs (Type 31HA1). The quality management system is certified to DIN EN ISO 9001 and the environmental management system to DIN EN ISO 14001.
