RJ Lasertechnik GmbH was founded more than 30 years ago as the first spin-off of the Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology (FhG ILT) in Aachen and was among the pioneers of industrial laser processing. Today the company is active in three business areas: contract manufacturing with industrial laser processing systems, cleanroom process technology in a Class 8 cleanroom operated since 2019 for sensitive products, and the construction of custom laser systems for complex manufacturing processes. The offering is complemented by consulting and process development to optimize existing processes. Customers come from semiconductor technology, mechanical and plant engineering, medical technology, measurement and control technology, laser optics, aerospace, and food processing machinery. RJ Lasertechnik manufactures for both mid-sized companies and international corporations at home and abroad. The company, based in Übach-Palenberg, is part of the Andra Tech Group with around 800 employees and 12 production sites.
