About RKBGamo
RKB Karosseriewerk GmbH based in Döbeln is part of the RKBGamo group of companies, which since 2019 has also included GAMO Fahrzeugwerke GmbH in Lödla/Altenburg. The company manufactures custom-built vehicle bodies for transport, sales and special-purpose vehicles – from courier and distribution vehicles to bakery, snack and promotional vehicles, through to incident command vehicles, ambulances, scanner and outside-broadcast vehicles. The value chain covers design, body construction, painting, interior construction and assembly. The core of production is box bodies made of glass-fibre reinforced plastic (GRP sandwich technology) with optimum sound and thermal insulation, a stable structure and high repairability. A fully automated sandwich bonding system produces GRP sandwich panels; a CNC machine invested in 2024 machines aluminium and steel profiles as well as plastic parts. The vehicles serve industries such as logistics/courier services, food, veterinary medicine, emergency services, film/TV, authorities and event technology.
